Andrew Mazzotta Obituary
Ocala - Andrew Mazzotta, 87, passed away on Feb. 10, 2008 at his home. He was born Dec. 25, 1920 to Frank Mazzotta and Josephine d'Ambrosia in Hartford, CT. He retired to Dunnellon in 1992 after a career in civil engineering in the construction industry and moved to Ocala in 1998. Andrew graduated from Western Colorado Univ. in Gunnison, Co with a degree in forestry. Mr. Mazzotta then served in the U.S. Coast Guard, attending the U.S.C.G. Academy in New London, CT, earning a degree in engineering. He served in the South Seas during WW II. Following the war, he attended MIT in Massachusetts and earned a Master's Degree in engineering. Andy is survived by his wife, Marja Mazzotta of Ocala; a son, Mark of Rhode Island; a daughter Anne of Connecticut; daughters Andrea and Mary of Holland and granddaughters Zoe and Faye, also of Holland. Funeral services will be held in the privacy of the close family. FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, Ocala, in charge of arrangements.
