Kovacs Sr., Andrew 83, of Walkerton, IN, formerly of Blue Island, beloved husband of the late June (nee Boersma), loving father of Sandra (Harry) Downey, Claudia (late Dan) Callahan and Andrew Kovacs Jr., devoted grandfather of Frederick (Victoria) Sonne, Teress (Mark) Barr, Joseph (Betsy) Granko, Pamela (Robert) Hetzel, Kathleen (David) Perretta, Michelle (Bobby) Downey, cherished great-grandfather of 16, proud great-great-grandfather of three, dear brother of John and Rose. Member of the Windy City Vets and Amalgamated Lithographers Local Union #458. Visitation Thursday, 2 to 9 p.m. Prayer service Friday, 9:45 a.m., from the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, to St. Walter Church, 118th St., & S.
