Goldschmidt, Andrew J. "Bates", 87, Vet. US Army WWII, beloved husband of the late Nell (nee Olson), loving father of Sandra (Robert) Genovaldi and Mary (Raymond) Hernandez, cherished grandpa of Madelynn, Eric, Michael, Angelique, Ray-Ray, great-grandfather of Joseph, Ruben, Christina, Eric, Cathryn and Enrique, dear brother of John Schmidt and Paul Goldschmidt, fond uncle of Richard Goldschmidt and many other nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, 9:15 a.m., from Kenny Brothers, 3600 West 95th St., Evergreen Park, to St. Bernadette Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Andrew retired from Solo Cup with 48 years of service. Longtime member of the VFW. Memorials would be appreciated to the American Lung Association. For info: 773-239-3600 or 708-425-4500.

Sandy & Family:

I am deeply sadened for your loss. From what I've heard Mr. Goldschmidt was a wonderful man and will be missed. Try to remember that he is not gone....he lives on in your memories and in the lessons he taught you (all).
