Michael, Patrick, USMC, and Andrew McClain, Mary and Frank Tropfenbaum, Katie, TJ, and Patrick Johns and Molly, Andrew and Allie Flando, great-grandfather of Rory, Holly, Jethro, Frances and Charlotte, dear brother of Josephine (the late John) Kenefick, Richard (Phyllis) Flando, Ida (Charles) Riggs and the late Grace (the late Anthony) DiCanio, brother-in-law of Patricia (the late Robert) Hunter, John (Carol) Heffernan, Denise (James) Cullinan, and the late Peggy (the late Evan) Kelly, fond uncle and friend of many. Funeral 9:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 from Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL to St. Mary Church (Buffalo Grove) Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of Flowers donations in his name to The Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 W. Jackson Blvd. Chicago, IL 60607 would be appreciated. My condolences. I just found out I am related. May Andrew rest in peace and perpetual life shine upon him. I actually named one of my sons after my father, Andrew Flando aka Ferriola. My father was the best man in the world, and I am positive that he lived on in his children. God bless.

Dear Aunt Mimi, Maureen, Elizabeth, Margaret, Mary Pat and Andrew!~ Uncle Andy was one of my FAVORITE Uncles....by far! My thoughts and prayers are with ALL of you at this time, especially Aunt Mimi..... I am so sorry that I could not make the funeral...I did look at airfare, but alas, didn't work out at this time! I am glad that my parents and Meg were all there for you! One of my favorite memories of him is at Mary Pat's wedding, the speech about the family is a corporation.....and that he always said "Tall Man" to me instead of actually the real thing.....He always made a big deal about Meg and I, when we were in Chicago and always made us feel VERY included! Some of my best memories are of how much fun we had at the house in Highland Park, will never forget those times....My love to all of you guys!

May God Bless you in your time of Sorrow. Andy was one of the greatest people I have ever known. His kindness and thoughtfulness, was the greatest gift he gave to his family and friends. In my eyes he was a great man. He has helped many. And will be missed very much.
