Cachro, Andrew J. Age 94. Beloved husband of 74 years to Clara Cachro (nee Svacik); loving father of Andrew Cachro III, Sandra (Paul) Lisula and the late Kenneth (late Mary Ann) Cachro; dear grandfather of Richard, Suzanne and Steven Lisula; Great-Grandfather of Lacy and Tegan and Great-Great-Grandfather of Madysun; dear brother of the late Antoinette (late Joseph) Duda and the late Louise (late Peter) Paserpsky; uncle, cousin and friend of many. World War II Army Veteran as a corporal and cook of the 397th Bomb Squadron and promoted to Sergeant of the 805th Engineer Aviation Battalion. Proud member of the Town of Lake V.F.W. Post #5216 and the James J. Zientek American Legion Post #419. Member of Archbishop Quigley Council #2428 Knights of Columbus and member of Jana Sabaly Kolo #1 of the Polish Highlanders of America. Retired employee of the Chicago Park District and former precinct captain of the 11th, 12th and 23rd Ward Regular Democratic Organizations. Former tavern owner of the Hunky Dory Inn located in the Back of the Yards at 44th and Wood Street as well as a cook and caterer. Funeral Monday 9:15 a.m. from the WOLNIAK FUNERAL HOME, 5700 S. Pulaski Rd., to St. Bruno Church (4751 S. Harding, Chicago, IL) for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Garden Mausoleum.
