Alma Dr. Obituary

Dr. Alma Lloyd HATCH Dr. A. Lloyd Hatch passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 29, 2007 at the age of 83. He was born April 4, 1924 in Panguitch, Utah to James L. and Della L. Huffaker Hatch. Lloyd served active duty in the United States Navy from April 1944 until his honorable discharge in May 1946. He graduated from Utah State University in 1950. He married Melba L. Moffat in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 15, 1951. They moved to Seattle in 1957 and he graduated in 1961 from the University of Washington Dental School. Lloyd enjoyed his profession, having a private practice in addition to working part time at the King County Health Department. Following his retirement from private practice in 1992, he continued to work at the health department until his second retirement in October, 2005. Lloyd was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a devoted husband and father spending his time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Melba of Shoreline; children and their spouse, Kenneth (Cindy) Hatch, Enumclaw, WA.; Jill (Alan) Thacker, Tualatin, OR; Shelley (Marcus) Nash, Centerville, UT; Jeff (Jennifer) Hatch, Vancouver, WA.; and Karen (Scott) Stallings of Syracuse, UT; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; his brother, DeLos, Toronto, Canada; and three sisters, Edith Marchant, Marylin Dahlstrom, and Della Farnsworth, all of Salt Lake City, UT. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the LDS Shoreline Stake Center, 102 N 132nd St., Seattle with a Viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Arrangements: Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds, (425) 771-1234.
