Leonard Sr., Allen Eddie was born on November 2, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Christine Walker and the late Eddie Lee Leonard. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age, uniting with South Park Baptist Church. Allen graduated from Dunbar Vocational High School, where he was an outstanding member of the football team. He served honorably with the Chicago Police Department for 17 years, where he received numerous awards and recognitions. He enjoyed watching basketball, football and listening to music. Allen was known for his sense of humor and outgoing personality. He loved spending time with all of his family and friends. Allen was preceded in death by his father Eddie Leonard and aunt, Mary Alice Turner. He leaves in God's care; his loving wife, Lorrie V. Leonard; son, Allen E. Leonard; parents, Christine and John Walker; precious grandmother, Mrs. Alice Turner; stepchildren, MarQuan Leonard, Jacob Vick, Kyla Vick and Jared Vick; sister, Cindy Gordon; six aunts; four uncles; nephew, Silas Conley; niece Kendi Lacour; a special cousin, Tamika Hutchinson and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, February 4, 2007, from noon to 7 p.m., at BTS & Regan Funeral Home, 851 East 75th Street, Chicago, Illinois. The family will be present from noon to 3 p.m. Services commencing at 9 a.m., on Monday, February 5, 2007, at South Park Baptist Church, 3720 South Martin Luther King Drive, Chicago, Illinois.
