Allan Klein Obituary

To Allan's family:

Allan and I were friends as kids, but unfortunately we lost touch after high school. I am very sorry to hear of Allan's passing, much too soon, and hope that your fond memories of him will help you get through this difficult time.

Kerry, I am very sorry to hear from my dad about your loss. I'm very sorry that it has been a long time since we have seen each other. Every night I pray and I will be sure to include Alan in them. Once again I am very sorry for your loss.

I went to Illinois State University with Allan and was lucky to have Allan pledge my fraternity. There wasn't anyone more honest, kind, or generous then Allan. Since college, I never forgot Allan, and I never will. My deepest sympathies are with you and your family.

How shocked I was to learn of Allan's untimely passing. I remember him to be a kind and decent human being. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kerri and the boys. I will never forget how Kerri told me of their first date at Maxwell's in Morton Grove.

Allan was my brother-in-law, but I'd prefer to say that he was my brother because that's how strong my love was and always will be for him. He loved me just like a sister, and I will never forget his wisdom. He will live forever and ever within my heart and soul. You will always be loved and admired, Allan.

I knew Allan as "Big Al." I played softball with Allan for several years, but haven't seen or talked to him for quite some time. Upon first meeting Allan, I assumed the nickname referred to the fact that Allan was physically a big person. However, after knowing him for only a very short time, it became apparent to me that the nickname had a much deeper meaning. Allan had a big heart and a warm soul, and he made everyone feel good about themselves. We are all lucky to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
