Alice Nowak Obituary
Alice M. nee Krason, age 96 Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 1, 2022, five days before her 97 th birthday. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Nowak, loving and kind mother of Gregg (Betty), Edward (Cyndie) Nowak, the late Marian Pietruszka and Teresa Klimek- Downs. Dedicated grandmother to Monica, Elyse (Toby), Alexa (Zach), Rich, Russ (Carrie); Ron (Carrie) and great-grandmother of Reagan, Corrine, Caitlynn, Ricky, Ella, and Reid. Dear sister #5 to Maryrose Darmofal sister #9. Alice was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Krason , her siblings, Josephine (John) Filipiak; Casimira (Frank) Nowak; Thaddeus (Florence) Krason; Evelyn (Ignatius) Goetz; Chester (Ruby) Krason; John Krason, and Joseph Krason and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony Darmofal, John (Antoinette) Nowak, Walter (Stephanie) Nowak, Stanley Nowak, Josephine Nowak, Sophie (Paul) Jachim, Mary (Michael) Lizik, Frank (Casimira) Nowak,Helen (Walter) Sanicki, Emily (Thomas) Suchocki. Respected Aunt and great-aunt to many. Retired employee of Sears Roebuck, a Life member of St. Joseph's Ladies of the Rosary, a model of love, honesty and integrity, Alice will be always remembered for her kindness and concern for others. To know her was to love her. She will be deeply missed, always loved and forever remembered. Visitation is Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55 th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30AM until time of Prayers 9:30 AM. Mass 10 AM St. Joseph Church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's honor to Shriners Children's Hospital would be appreciated. Wondered why there was no answer when I called to wish my friend Alice an early Happy Birthday - she'll be spending her 97th in Heaven! I have known dear Alice for 35? - 40? years. I met Alice when we worked at Sears and have kept in touch over the years, Since my move to Florida almost 20 years now, we exchanged cards on special and not-so-special occasions and I called every couple of months - most recently to check on how she was doing. Her wonderful caretaker Anna would update me when I called.
I will always have a smile on my face remembering the laughs and fun conversations we shared over the years. My friend Alice will always be in my prayers.
