(nee Benard), age 81, late of South Chicago, beloved wife of the late Jesse "Tiny" Chavez, loving mother of Linda (Robert) Reyna, Robert (Sally), Vern (Pam), Roman (Lisa) and Ronald (Maria Carmen) Chavez, devoted grandmother of Lawrence and Brian Reyna, Michael, Lisa Marie, Elise, Anthony, Angela, Daniel, Tim, James and Rhonda Chavez, Aaron and Lindsey Barr, great-grandmother of Megan Reyna, Luka and Delaney Barr, dear sister of Dolly (Bob) Sledge, Clarence (Barbara), Lester and the late Ralph (Mary) Benard, preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters, dear sister-in-law of Salvador (Virginia) and Henry Chavez and Consuelo (Emiliano) Hernandez, fond aunt and God-mother of many. Active member of O.L.O.G. Mothers Club, Church Functions, Little League, Scouting, VFW Post #4104 Ladies Auxiliary & Bowen High School ROTC. Visitation Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral Friday, at 9:15 a.m., from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Mass 10 a.m. Cemetery private. 773-731-2749.
