Von Samek, Alfred Loving husband of Randie (nee Solomon). Devoted father of Jonathan (Dawn), David (Lisa) and Adam. Proud grandfather of Morgan and Remy. Brother of Carl and Ralph Samek. Beloved friend Stephen and Esther Vogel and their children Michelle, Jon, Erika and Lucy. Cherished son-in-law of Lawrence and Shirley Solomon. Former Special Agent, FBI; Deputy Provost Marshal Berlin Brigade; Executive President of Chicago Architectural Metals, Inc. Services were held Wednesday. My sincere and deepest condolences. I just found out this afternoon and I am so very saddened by your loss. Al would frequently come by and see what new "toys" I had aquired. He and I shared a love of cars and motorcycles. I always enjoyed chatting him while I was in front of our house tinkering on the bikes or vintage cars. As a neighbor and friend, I am shocked and very saddened by his passing. My thoughts are with you and your sons.
