Alfred Piper Obituary

Piper, Alfred Willard Age 86, of Hanover Park, beloved husband of Tressie (nee Barton) for 66 years, passed away February 10, 2007. Mr. Piper, born in Sesser, IL on April 22, 1920, lived in Chicago from 1941 until 1984 and moved to the Lake of Egypt, Marion, IL. Al retired 1983 from the I.B.E.W. Local 134 and was a former part time Electrical Inspector of Norridge. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Alta Mae (nee Robinson) and Charles Edward Piper; his brothers, Charles Morgan Piper, and Dwight Piper. He is survived by his brothers, Robert (Glenna) Piper Sr., Ronald (Leona) Piper; and sister, Marjorie Kelley; his wife, Tressie Marie (nee Barton) Piper; his children, Carol (Sanford) Weisberg, Fred (Susan) Piper, Mark (Carolyn) Piper, Devi Piper and Phil (Linda) Piper: his grandchildren, Stephanie Weisberg, Ronald (Mandi) Piper, Jill Piper, Melissa (Aron) Thompson, Melanie Piper, Alison Piper, Lauren Piper, and great-granddaughter, Elle Piper, many extended family members and friends. The family has established a memorial to dig a fresh drinking water well in Haiti. In lieu of flowers, donations c/o Lake of Egypt Christian Church, 12102 Malibu Lane, Marion, IL, 62959. Please note on checks "Alfred Piper Memorial Fund". There will be a private Memorial Service held.
