Alexander Kulpa Obituary
Kulpa, Alexander P. 86 years, of Oswego, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at the Tillers in Oswego, IL. "The family expresses sincere appreciation to the loving care provided to their father/grandfather during his stay at The Tillers". He was born February 23, 1918, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Stanley and Bronislava (nee Pilich) Kulpa. He served his country honorably in Korea with the U.S. Army's 13th Engineer Combat Battalion. He worked for Krone Tool & Die Co. in Chicago, IL, for 47 years retiring as a supervisor in 1984. After retirement he was a passionate golfer playing weekly until his illness no longer allowed him to play. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows in Chicago, IL and attended St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. He was a member and block President of the Vittum Park Civic League where he held several offices and received the Citizen of the Year Award in 1989 for helping his neighbors and community. He served as a Republican Election Poll Judge for over 20 years in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Robert) Claus of Oswego, IL, two sons, Thomas (Helen) Kulpa of Glen Ellyn, IL, James (Marilyn) Kulpa of Chicago, IL, six grandchildren, Tim, Sean, Samantha, Matthew, Kevin and Katherine, three brothers, Ted Kulpa of Chicago, IL, Stanley (Marie) Kulpa of Willowbrook, IL, John Kulpa of Justice, IL, sister/brother-in-law, Joan (George) Wray of Palatine, IL, and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Corinne (nee Gallagher) Kulpa, two brothers, Chester Kulpa and Frank Salach. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 3, 2004, from 3 to 9 p.m., at the McKeown-Dunn Funeral Home, LTD & Cremation Services, at 210 S. Madison St., in Oswego, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 4, 2004, at 10 a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church at 551 Boulder Hill, pass in Oswego, IL, with Rev. Dan Stempora celebrant.
