Family-Placed Death Notice

ALEXANDER "ALEX" DAVIS A Celebration of Life Gathering for Alexander "Alex" Davis, 86, of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, who passed away on December 21, 2007 will be held from 11 am to 12 noon Saturday, January 5, 2008 at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. Alex was born on October 1, 1921 to the late Harry and Pauline Davis in Lula, Georgia. He retired from the U. S. Government as supervisor from Atlanta Army Depot and later moved to this area. Alex enjoyed boating until discovering golf, which he loved to play and was a loyal fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Alex was also a world traveler, seeing the U.S. and Canada as well as Europe, Mexico, Cuba and the Islands. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 64 years, Ruby; sisters, Doris McMillan and Winnie Vinson; several cousins, nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange.

I have so many fond memories of Alex. He was always so sweet to me as a little girl. He always talked to me like I was an adult and was always laughing and telling jokes. He was an important part of my childhood.
