Bogdan, Alex S. Vet. WWII, at rest March 15, 2004, of natural causes. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (nee Jendras), devoted son of the late Walter and late Pauline Bogdan, loving father of Michael Bogdan and Mary Ann (Jerry) Rojas, cherished grandfather of Christopher and Nicholas Rojas, fond brother of the late Walter (late Emma) Bogdan, the late Stanley Bogdan, the late Josephine (late John) Gawanda, the late Anthony (late Mildred) Bogdan, the late Peter (late Fran) Bogdan and the late Julia (late Edward "Harry") Bober, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Resting at the Central Funeral Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago. Funeral Saturday, March 20, 2004, at 8:30 a.m., to St. Symphorosa Church. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 2 to 9 p.m. 773-581-9000

Dear MaryAnn and Michael,
To say the least, I was so sorry to hear that both your Mom and Dad had passed away. What an emotional time for your family, but I know that you have faith that they are in that better place together. In whatever way it's possible, I hope they've met up again with our Dad who passed away in March 2002. Hearing about your parents set me to thinking about growing up on 63rd Place. I tried to remember all the families, in line, down the block, the kids we used to play with, the family pets (including your dog, Chipper). I cried quite a bit, but it's good to look back and appreciate the lives we're living and the people we've been blessed with knowing. My very deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers.

Mike, Sue and I were saddened to hear of the deaths of your Mom and Dad, but comforted by the thought that they entered heaven hand-in-hand. (Probably most every married couple's dream.) You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers, with hugs provided when you get home.

We are so sorry for the loss of your Mom and Dad. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I have great memories of your Dad loading up my bike and giving me a ride home every evening during high school. It still brings a smile to my face thinking of it. I have seen both your parents over the years at 9:30 Mass on Sundays. I will miss that.
