Albert Wojnicki Obituary

Wojnicki, Albert John 82, of Harvard, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL. Albert was born April 2, 1925 to Albert (Agnes nee Murzen) Wojnicki in Chicago. He married Elizabeth Hayden on September 2, 1947 in Hayward, WI. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corp. during WWII and was in the VMF212. He worked for Schwinn Bicycle as a maintenance foreman for over 30 years. He also loved to travel and had a passion for horses and horse racing, and was a lifetime member of Harness Horsemans Association. Survivors include four children: Karen, John, Peter, and Paul Wojnicki; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife on May 14, 1998, and six brothers and sisters. The visitation will be 5 p.m. until the 7:30 p.m. prayer service Thursday, March. 27 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL. The funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 28 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 206 E. Front St., Harvard, IL. Interment will be private. Call the funeral home for more information: 815-943-5400.
