Dear Dave and Family,
We send our deepest sympathies to you all at this time. I have wonderful memories of your Dad and the leader he was at MPBC. My sister found the article in the Tribune and sent it to me here in St. Louis. I lost my Dad a little over three years ago. It's hard. The tears will eventually go away but the memories and the love last forever. Take good care of your Mom.
Our prayers are with you all as you carry on the legacy of the Mitroff Family.
Sincerely, Tina (Veltri) Duke for Jeff, Jordan, Kaylie and Nathan

Dear Dorothy, So sorry to hear about Don. Since I have had the same experience, I know what you are going through right now. We missed you at the Bell reunion, but understand why you couldn't be there. I may be in Chicago again in March, so maybe you can join some of us for lunch. Would like to see you. Aloha, Karen

Chin up, old friend. The memories of the good times you had together will never go away, but the tears will. Sorry we didn't get to see you and celebrate our Bell School lives together a few weeks ago -- but given the enjoyment we shared, I'm confident another reunion will occur soon. Maybe in Hawaii or Santa Fe. Can you imagine Pat Sullivan re-introducing herself to a puzzled Ken Fischer with the words, "Hi, I'm Jack White (in drag)". Onward. R.

Dorothy - My sympathies to you and your family. Don and my husband (a former R.M. police officer, now also deceased) were roommates in the hospital in the 70s, and I recall that you and Don passed along a beautiful couch to our then-struggling family. The many remarks about the kindness of your family are no surprise; what a lovely legacy...

I met Don Mitroff when I was 18 years old in 1980. He made a great influence on me in regards to his love for the Lord and his work ethic.
I remember him telling me about how he got started in construction as a laborer and how even when just digging a ditch, he would try to work as hard as he could to make that ditch as straight and perfect as he possibly could. He always impressed on me the law of sowing and reaping - that working hard always paid off.
He was always an encouragement in my young adult life for the years that I knew him.

Dear Dorothy and family. My most sincere sympathy goes out to you all. I, and my family, can empathize with all of you, since we know the pain of losing a beloved husband and father. Although it's not an easy burden for us to bear, there's solace in knowing that God has granted him peace. My prayer is that God will grant you strength, understanding and acceptance. God Bless you all. Pat

Our deepest sympathy to Mr. Mitroff's family. Everyday we are reminded of what a nice man he was. We look out from our kitchen window to the north pond at the Arlington on the Ponds development that he built. We live in Arlington Terrace and he was very concerned to make sure the development was just right to make it nice for others to enjoy the view.
