ALTHOUGH I HAVE NOT SEEN ALAN SINCE HE WAS A VERY YOUNG BOY, MY FEELINGS FOR THE GERBER--LEWIS FAMILY ARE DEEP. MY MOTHER WAS HANK GERBER'S SISTER (EVA) AND OUR FAMILIES HAD MANY CLOSE TIES WHEN WE WERE ALL YOUNG. PLEASE ACCEPT MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY.
