Gember, Alan Lawrence age 71, born May 7, 1932, passed away April 15, 2004. Loving husband of Doris, devoted father of Rev. Lawrence (Cindy), Robert, Nancy (Kenneth) Sliwa, Steven (Barbara), Pamela (Robert) Wesolek and Paul, dear grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of two. He was a Naval Veteran, a family anchor, a treasured friend. He had a heart of gold, who brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Member of the Iron Workers Local #1. Visitation at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 S. Harlem Ave., Worth., Sunday, 3 to 9 p.m. Lying in state at All Saints Lutheran Church, 13350 S. LaGrange Rd., Orland Park, Monday, April 19, 2004, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. 708-448-6000.
