Agnes J. Sande

Agnes J. Sande, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, and great-great-grand-mother, died peacefully on October 18, 2005, at Josephine Sunset Home in Stanwood, Washington.
Agnes was born July 24, 1913, in the home where she lived in for 88 years, in Norman, Washington. In 2001 she came to the Josephine Sunset Suits, in Stanwood, and remained there until she suffered a stroke. She was cared for lovingly at the Josephine Sunset Nursing Home until she passed away.
Agnes was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Silvana, Washington, and was involved in many activities and committees. She loved working in the kitchen and bringing food to the church. She was a charter member of the Daughters of Norway Camilla Collett Lodge of Silvana, and was a member of the Sons of Norway.
Agnes was married to Lud Sande, in Stanwood, on June 16, 1945. They lived together with her father, caring for him until two months before he passed away.
Agnes is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and John Rindal, of Mount Vernon, Washington; three grandsons, Richard Rindal, David Rindal, and his wife, Brenda, and Douglas Rindal, and his wife, Susan, all of Mount Vernon; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer, and her husband, Benji Olmsted, Jason Rindal, Bob and Jane Rindal, and Jenna Rindal, and two great-great-grandchil-dren, Alexa and Reilly Olmsted, all of Mount Vernon; her twin sister, Alma Hanseth, of Stanwood; sisters-in-law, Nettie Stensaa, Leona Sande, and Dorothy Bloom, all of Stanwood, Clara Sande, of Mount Vernon, and Helen Johnston, of Everett; and also many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lud J. Sande, in 1988; her parents, Iver and Marit Stensaa; sisters, Esther Peterson and Mabel Grytmas; and brothers, John, Chris, and Bennie Stensaa.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2005, at the Peace Lutheran Church, Silvana, with Pastor Jeff Driscol officiating. A coffee hour will be held at the Church following the service. Private family graveside services will be held in the Valley View Cemetery, Silvana
Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, Providence Hospice of Snohomish County, or to The Josephine Sunset Home, Stanwood.

Agnes was the sweetest lady that I ever had the privledge of taking care of. She had such a beautiful heart. I know that she is in heaven with Jesus. Even though I will miss her, I know that I will see her again.
