Adeline was one of the first residents we met at Friendship Village. Her happiness and energy was contagious. As long as Adeline was dancing, joking, and smiling, everything was OK. We are glad to have known her. Our thoughts are with you.

At the time of our loss last year, someone sent me a copy of Benjamin Franklin's letter to Elizabeth Hubbart and it helped some. Google the letter and read it. In part in says………."Why then should we grieve that a new child is born among the immortals? A new member added to their happy society? We are spirits. That bodies should be lent us, while they can afford us pleasure, assist us in acquiring knowledge, or doing good to our fellow creatures, is a kind of benevolent act of God."….. I am happy for your Mom as she is now in a better place although it is tough for those left behind. I will remember her and you in my Christmas prayers.

Sorry for your loss Mike. Always tough to lose a parent but watching them when they suffer from Alzheimer's makes seeing them off to heaven a little easier.

As Christmas approaches, I pray that the family finds comfort in all of the wonderful memories that Auntie Adeline made possible for everyone that knew her and celebrate a life well lived.
