Adeline Lomba Obituary

NEW BEDFORD — Adeline E. Lomba age 87 years, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2008, at Brandon Woods of New Bedford after a long illness. She was the widow of Raymond Lomba.

She was the loved mother of Ronald Lomba of New Bedford, and the late Ann Lomba Gonsalves. Adeline was the sister of Raymond and Arthur Medina, both of New Bedford and the late Evelyn Medina-McConnell. She was the loved grandmother of Melissa Gonsalves and Marc Gonsalves of New Bedford, Ronald Lomba and Kyle Swiss, both of Boston. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lomba was the daughter of the late Joaquin and Anna (Monteiro) Medina. She has lived in this area since 1942. She worked as a packer in the Seafood Industry until her retirement. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church.

Mrs. Lomba's funeral will be at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Thursday at 8:00 A.M., with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
