Ada Quist Obituary

Quist, Ada C. In the late afternoon on May 21, 2007, Ada Hinz Quist passed from this world to a better place of peace and rest. Ada was born on June 2, 1914 to Henry & Emilia Hinz in Kimball, MN, the youngest of 12 children. Ada had resided in Minneapolis until April 2005 when she moved to Overland Park, KS to be near her son, Sheldon. While living in Minneapolis, Ada had worked and retired from Honeywell. Working at Honeywell, Ada earned the distinct honor of being one of the first female supervisors. She started and managed the T86 thermostat line, one of Honeywell's major products. Ada was a member of Central Lutheran Church, where she was the Sunday School secretary for many years. After retirement, Ada did volunteer work for several hospitals in the downtown Minneapolis area. Survived by sister, Agnes Nessa of Chanhassen; daughter, Sandra (Larry) Johnson of Rosemount; son, Sheldon (Sarah) Quist of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Steve (Terry) Johnson & their children Jamie, Jenna (fiance Jason) and Adam Johnson; Jeremy, Chris, Shorty and Crystal Braum, all of Lakeville; Lane Johnson of Pequot Lakes, MN; Jennifer (Brent) Mathes & their children Joshua, Caleb and Joel of Bartlett, KS and David Quist of Tromso, Norway; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Service Friday, 2 PM, with visitation one hour prior to service at: Washburn-McReavy Davies Chapel 612-377-2203 2301 Dupont Ave S.

To Ada's family,

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Ada was such a special lady who touched so many hearts. I know how blessed I feel to have known her and shared part of my life with her. She was truly one of greatest ladies I have ever known. She will be missed by many. God Bless, Janelle
