One Year Gone

Dear Mr. John Miller,
Randy Lewis wife Kay just told us that your dad passed away. I remember the day in came to visit us and stayed the whole day. Our thoughts and prayers our with you.

Dear Iris, John and Rhoda,

I was saddened to learn of your loss. I think fondly and often of Gerson’s words of wisdom and encouragement to me even after these years. I owe much of who I am today to his impression on my life and will remember him always.

May God bring you peace and comfort at this time.

Dear Miller Family, the year was 1980, and my partner and I were looking for some credit to start a new venture. Gerson sat with us for about an hour and said, "Whatever you need, just call". Gers, you would always ask when was I getting flowers again and at the picnic you still remembered. I received some weeks later and was remembering when you would stroll past my desk, look, and smile. Gerson, you will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts.

To the Miller Family:
My dad introduced me to Gerson many years ago in Gerson's office in Franklin Park. I always remembered that day and how Gerson made me feel special, especially in front of my dad. The last thing Gerson did was give me his card and told me if I ever needed anything, to just give him a call. I never had to call him, but I still have his card to this day. My only wish, is that my son would have been able to meet Gerson and have him feel special just like I did that day with my dad. God bless each and every one of you and know that your in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to read about your loss. Even though it has been many years since we have had any contact, I do have fond memories of you and your family. I was Dorothy Epstein's daughter-in-law.

To the Miller Family:
Nancy and I were informed of Gerson's passing today by our son. I will remember Gerson as a businessman, but more importantly as a true gentleman. He was a man of his word, and in today's world that is a very rare. I am truly fortunate to know such a great human being and I am glad that my family was able to know him as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God Bless.

There is not a day when I do not hear Gerson's advice, follow Gerson's advice, or repeat something that Gerson said. It was an honor and a privilege to know him, work with him, and learn from him.

To the Miller Family: Gerson was one of a kind. They don't get any better. Kind, caring, fun, philisophical, I could go on and on....He loved his family and he loved his N. American family, each of us as individuals. We all have wonderful memories of a man who lived life to its fullest. When Gerson walked into a room his presence was always felt and welcomed.
He will be missed.

Iris, Rhonda, John, Sandy and grandchildren, how lucky you are to have this man in your life. For sixteen years, I knew him to be the helping hand to those in need of comfort, guidance or encouragement. My family enjoyed knowing all of you. Your interest in people, their well being and in all matters around you is so much like him. I will miss bouncing things off him and the always good counsel he provided. You are in my prayers.

Dear Iris, John, and Rhonda - We are very sorry for your loss. I will always remember Gerson as a true gentleman, and of course I'm sure a wonderful husband and father.
I remember the many business transactions we conducted, either at the office, at lunch, or in the Bear's skybox, but wherever, Gerson was always a true and upright businessman and true to his word.
I'm sure he was a mentor to many who followed him, as seen by the success of his life and his company.

I am very sorry to learn of Gerson's passing today. Although it's been quite a long time since I've seen him, I still consider him one of the best teachers I've ever had regarding salesmanship, business, and life. I'm very glad to have known him.

Gerson will be sorely missed by all his North American family. He touched us in a very personal way that none of us could ever forget. Iris and Gerson taught me as much as my own parents. My heart goes out to Rohnda and John and I'm glad you shared your wonderful father with us.

dear miller family, our heart felt sympathies are with all of you. we know the death of a loved one is devastating to all. we feel it is also important to mention what a great loss it is to a sibling. burton, you knew gerson all your life and it has to be a great loss to you and your family. we know you were a loving brother and that the two of you shared a special bond. he was lucky to have had such a loving brother. again our condolences to all.

Mrs. Miller, John, Rhonda & Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Miller's death. He made a real impression on me and my children. All the children of Napco employees fondly remember the dollar that he gave upon their visits to the office. He always made the company feel like a family. I'll treasure my memories of him and the closeness of the whole NAPCO family. He'll be sorely missed. My deepest sympathy.

Gerson was a great man who left an indelible mark on everyone he came in contact with. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I am extremely sorry about your loss. Gerson was always such a wonderful man to my father and such a loving person to me. Everytime I saw him the big kisses and hugs always made me feel really loved.. I will miss him greatly.

So few people in this life pass having touched so many. Gerson was so special and unique, and because he lived, so many of us are blessed by the experience of knowing him; blessed by the lessons we learned because he cared; and blessed with the wonderful memories he gave us that we are able to take through the rest our lives. Dear John and the Miller Familty'
I was very sorry to hear of the death of Gerson.
When I came to Chicago with Fort Howard in 1990, I met Gerson and his advice and counsel was very helpful.He was well respected in the industry.
I will be out of the city on Tuesday but my thoughts and prayers will be with all of you.

Every time I came to the office with my dad, you would always give me two dollars and say "You come to work to get paid." I'll never forget that.

Ever since I was a small child, my thoughts of Gers were always of his warmth, laughter and enduring smile. He and my dad, Orville, shared a special unspoken affection and he will be sorely missed by all fortunate to have known him.
