Wilma Rivera Obituary

Wilma Jane Six Rivera, 45, of Rural Retreat died Friday, March 6, 2009. A memorial service was held Wednesday, March 11, at 2 p.m. at the Stony Fork Community Church with the Rev. Brian Burch officiating. She was born Nov. 7, 1963, in Wythe County. She was preceded in death by her father, William Jacob Six Jr.; and a brother, Wendell Melvin Six. Survivors include her husband, Peter Rivera of the home; two sons, Peter Joseph Rivera and Isaac Paul Rivera, both of the home; a grandson, Toccoa Rivera; mother, Jean Seis Six of Rural Retreat; a sister, Winifred Jean Robinette of Marion; four brothers, William Michael Six of Pennsylvania, Walter James Six and Warren Jacob Six, both of Rural Retreat, and Wade Morris Six of Wytheville; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice. Lindsey Funeral Home in Rural Retreat was in charge of the arrangements.
