Willie Booker Obituary
nee Johnson, of Dolton, IL, formerly of Richmond, Virginia, born February 8, 1936, who accepted Christ at an early age, made a peaceful transition to be with the Lord, surrounded by loving family members, Sunday, January 17, 2021, in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Booker, a 1953 graduate of Richmond's Armstrong High, was preceded in death by her loving parents, Willie Morgan and Ella Mae (nee Seward) Johnson, and late former husband, Alfred L. Booker, Jr. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Gisele) Booker, Nina (Victor) Daniels, Shirley Booker, Rita Booker-Davis, and Timothy Booker; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Booker worked as a nurse for over 25 years and retired from Chicago's former Veterans Adminstration Lakeside Hospital in 1996. She was an active member of Valley Kingdom Ministries International, Oak Forest, IL. A public visition will be held Tuesday, February 2 from 3-6 pm at Gatling's Chapel, Inc., 1200 E. 162nd St., South Holland, IL and February 3, 9:30-10 am. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 10-11 am, also at Gatling's Chapel.
