My mother - Rosemary Doyle - passed away in October at the age of 93. Mr. Woods was her instructor in library sciences -- she took what she learned from him and opened a library at our elementary school on the south side of Chicago. He was a great teacher and an inspiration to my mother and the many children who benefited from the school library. Mr. Woods touched more people than he could have ever imagined. I am sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Woods for the year before he retired. He was a wonderful librarian, and a great human being. He trained me for my position and was so helpful, patient and kind, he had a wonderful sense of humor. He often talked about his big family and wife and how he was anticipating retirement so that he could spend more time with them. I am glad that he was able to share many years doing just that.
The Woods family has my most sincere condolences on the lost of Mr. Woods. You will will all remain in my prayers.
