To the Tursky family: As the years roll on so swiftly, I still remember fondly those spectacular years of my life with my best friend Bill. He remains an indelible part of my being and I will never forget him.

Dear Andrea: My cousin Gail just informed me of Bill's passing last year. What a shame to lose such a wonderful person at such a young age. As you may recall, Bill was my best friend in college and I, along with my 94 year old father who is still with us, remember fondly the early Sunday outings with our dads at Evanston Community Golf Course. And of course, there were the wild and crazy days in Madison...

I want to Brandeis with Paul, and I met Bill on a trip to Chicago several years ago. He and Andrea made me feel very welcome in their home. My condolences are with you.

Andrea, Liza and Paul,

Bill was a very special guy whose time ended too soon. It is good to know that he possessed the things in life that really matter, the love of his family and the respect of his friends and his colleagues. He enjoyed good times with humor and got through bad times with grace. We are glad to have known him and seen both.

May your memories comfort you during this sad time,

Karen & Dean

My heart goes out to Andrea, Liza and Paul, Helene and Caryn, and the entire Tursky Family. I've known Billy since he was a young kid, and I don't ever remember him without a smile and a warm hug. He was special and will be missed by many.

When I first read the phrase in the newspaper notice "best friend," I wasn't sure who that was going to be. Those of us who have known and observed Drea and Bill for 45 years would say, "Of course, that's Andrea." But because he was the dearest, kindest, most non-judgmental friend to so many, it's understandable that Bill made others see themselves as his "best friend."

Love you Drea, Liza, Paul...
See you soon,
Brenda

My condolences to Andrea, Liza, Paul and the whole Tursky family. I worked at Pioneer/Medalist with Bill for nearly 17 years. Bill was always a great friend to me during my time there. He worked like a dog (we all did) but he had fun doing it. I will miss him greatly.
