Topel, William E. beloved husband of Mildred (nee Miller), loving son of the late Ida and Harry Topel, devoted father of Dr. Howard (Sandra), Dr. Jordan (Lauren) Topel and the late Barbara (Michael) Perlstein, cherished grandfather of Elisabeth (John) Galotto, Sari (Jonathan) Tower, Heather and Adam Topel, fond brother of the late Sol, Frank, Faye, Rabbi Joseph Topel and Jean Tomash. Services Friday, 1 p.m., at The Piser Chapel, 9200 Skokie Blvd., Skokie. Entombment Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Second Chance Fund at Rush University Medical Center Dept. of Philanthropy, 1700 W. Van Buren St., Chicago, 60612, would be appreciated.
