William Toal Obituary
Toal, William D. (Dave) age 60, of Glenview, Illinois, 916 E. Glenview Road, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. in Whitehall North Nursing Home in Deerfield, Illinois, born February 13, 1943 in Monmouth, Illinois. Son of Joseph E. and Florence T. Cavanaugh Toal. survived by sister- in-law Frances Kissinger Toal of Davenport, Iowa, three nieces, Tamara (Mike) Stankoven of Bolingbrook, IL, Megan Toal-Weaver (J.T.) of Overland Park, Kansas and Kara Toal (Peter) of Davenport, Iowa; one nephew, James F. Toal of Chicago, Il; five grandnieces and nephews and a number of cousins also survive, preceding Bill in death are his parents and his brother James Toal. A Memorial Mass in Glenview, Illinois is planned on Thursday, March 20th at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003 at Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth with Father Ron Enderlin officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Monmouth. Friends may call on Friday and Saturday at Turnbull Funeral Home, in Monmouth, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:15 a.m. Friday evening. The family will receive friends following the Rosary Service at the funeral home. Memorial fund is being established for the Immaculate Conception School Monmouth, or Hospice. Bill attended Immaculate Conception School and Monmouth High School. then William attended Notre Dame for a year, Creighton University, St. Ambrose in Davenport and graduated from Notre Dame in 1965. William the attended/graduated from Notre Dame where he earned his Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Economics. William first worked at the Atlanta Federal Reserve in Atlanta, GA. He the was an Economist for the State of Illinois in Springfield, IL. He then taught economics at St. Ambrose College in Davenport, IA. He then worked for Allen-Bradley in Milwaukee, WI, after which he spent some time in Washington DC as an Economist for the U.S. Government. Bill then was the Chief economist for the Governor of the State of Minnesota in St. Paul. He then worked for Sears and Company in Chicago as their Chief Economist, and lastly worked at Portland Cement where he was Chief Economist in Glenview, Illinois. William enjoyed his nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He enjoyed boating and spending time at his Ft. Myers, FL condo.
