William Sumner Obituary

Of North Reading and formerly of Andover, May 14, age 43. Beloved husband of Kathy A. (Canavan) Sumner. Loving father of Ryan Canavan and Hannah Sumner of North Reading. Loving son of Earl J. Sumner of Andover and the late Gaynell (Pomroy) Sumner. Brother of Skip Sumner and his wife Martha of Plaistow, NH, James Sumner and his partner Brian Rought of Malden, Joan Sumner of Andover and Pat Ziehm and her husband John of Lisbon, ME. Son-in-law of John F. Canavan Jr. of North Reading. Godfather of Erin Sumner of Plaistow, NH. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., NORTH READING, on Wednesday, May 19 at 9 a.m. Followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Augustine's Church, 43 Essex St., Andover. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to Banknorth, 91 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen, MA 01844, c/o Martha Sumner.
