To the Spicer Family -
Growing up on Rose Avenue in Park Ridge created many fun memories of all the kids playing together in the neighborhood. While we haven't seen any of the "boys" in years, the Powers Family sends our deepest sympathy to each of you and your families after Bill's passing.

Living on Home Ave, it was an easy walk or bike ride to Rose Ave to see the Spicer family. Usually it was to play with Bobby, but Bill and Tom always tagged along for many softball games, etc. at Carpenter. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

I go all the way back with Bill to Carpenter School days. Played all kinds of baseball, basketball, and touch football Bill and his brother Tom at Carpenter. Was in same class with Bill in kindergarten and 5th grade, and played little league and Pony League baseball against him. Incredible competitor all the way through high school. I'll keep a good thought in his memory and for his entire family.

The passing of Bill was indeed sad news to hear. I knew Bill and his brothers in high school, and always thought of them as smart, handsome, congenial and all around good guys. Bill will be missed by many. My heart goes out to Bill's family. Nancy (Sundberg) Abramovitz

Kathy and the whole family. Only prayers and love today. I knew Bill very well through AHYAA and grew to respect his leadership and devotion to youth athletics. So many thousands of children benefited from Bill, we can only hope to be the man he was. God put Bill here and he influenced many of the areas coaches, fathers, volunteers to do just a little more for the community. His legacy will live on through the youth of this community, one Bill helped build so strong. Love, Joe, Sue, Andrew, Ali and Alex Preissing

We knew Bill as a neighbor and coach for our kids in AHYAA. When John was sick with Addisons disease, Bill visited and brought ice cream for all! He always asked how could he help or what could he do to make it better. He was tireless in all his projects and causes. Our community has a lost a great citizen and heaven has gained a devoted coach, ref, and worker bee! Our hearts and prayers our with Kathy, Billy, Brian and Kelly. His family was the love of his life. God Bless the Spicer family and thanks for being a part of the Sullivan family's life.

As always, Bill fought a good battle but was taken from us way too early. Delighted both of you got involved in Prospect Band activities; the organization and community obviously are better for it. You both left quite a legacy. Our thoughts are with you as you treasure your many memories.

We came to know Bill, 20 years ago. Bill coached our oldest son in baseball. He went on to coach, ref or umpire games for our 7 children. When we think of how fortunate we are to call Arlington Heights our home. It is someone like Bill, who took the time that made our family realize what a great community we live in.
God Bless the Spicer Family,
Our deepest regards, The Flood Family
