William Roman Obituary

Roman, William Edward October 26, 1946 - August 31, 2015 As a retired Chicago Police Officer, as well as owning his own printing business with his wife, a substitute school teacher and an Uber driver, Bill wore many hats throughout the past 50 years of his career. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, teacher and friend. After his retirement he pursued some of his many hobbies including cooking, refurbishing old clocks, brewing his own "Wild Bill's Beer", riding his motorcycle and talking to family and friends on a daily basis. He also mastered the art of cooking the perfect steak. He was so proud of his life with his beautiful wife, Kate and two dogs, Chong and Saki. Most important to Bill was being around the people he truly loved and living life to the fullest. Before passing Bill forged a 68 year trail of laughter, generosity, compassion, and wisdom. He will be greatly missed by his wife and soul mate, Kate, of 28 years; his children, Nicole (daughters Grace and Lily), Karyn (husband Kevin, daughters Kassidy and Kennedy), Billy (daughter Leah), Josette (children Johnny, Charlie and Sammy), and Robert (son Brandon); siblings, Carol (husband David, son Rich), Tommy (children Gina and Michael), Phil, Danny, Debbie and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. As per his wishes, a "Praise Bill Party" - a celebration of his life -- will be held starting at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his home in Wimauma, FL.
