Dearest Shirley,
I know that you and Bill had a wonderful life together and that you have many lovely memories. That does not make it easier to say good-bye for now, but I hope it helps.
All our love,
Arlene and Bob Brodell.

Dear Shirley and Family.
On behalf of the Illinois Chapter of the Eighth Air Force Historical Society, we wish to express our sincere sorrow in the loss of one of our members. Bill like thousands upon thousands of young men, who in the prime of their lives went to war in World War II to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today; let us be thankful for such men.
We will also remember him from our monthly meetings and also for those of us who lived in Park Ridge, for seeing him smile when we saw him at the local Ace hardware.

We were so sorry to hear of Bill's death and will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. We were out of town for a couple days this past week so are a bit late with this message. Bill was a wonderful man and a great Santa Claus. We hope you are doing alright.
