Dear Marcia,
You and your family have my deepest sympathy and that of your friends and colleagues here at the US Agency for International Development at this difficult time. Your father sounds like a wonderful human being and the likely source of your adventurer's spirit. How poignant that he made his greatest journey on Christmas day.
With heartfelt sympathy,

Bill Occomy was one of a kind, they don’t make them like that anymore. It was truly a privilege to have had the opportunity to be
acquainted with Bill. He was the original brainy-ack.

I worked with Bill at Wards long ago in the early 70s, yet when I saw the obituary it was as though I had lost a close friend. He was such a friendly and helpful gentleman. My sympathies to you on your loss.

I am so saddened to learn that Bill has left us too soon. We worked together for many years at Montgomery Ward and were bridge partners for much of that time. I always admired Bill's steadiness and disposition as well as his far-ranging intellect. He is missed.
