Teacher, mentor, highly-respected "compleat" physician, exemplary gentleman. Though rarely I might see Dr. McCarty, he was there and now will not be. I miss his presence. I wish comfort to his family and pray for his deserved reward.

Martha and Kelly: Mom and I are so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I called him the last time I was in Chicago which was about three years ago. I am so glad I got to speak to him. Mom and I both send our condolences. Hope all of you are doing fine. Martha, I still remember your lovely wedding at the South Shore Yacht Club. Kelly, I hope all is well with you. Mom is fine. She's moved into a life care center in Sun City and has a really cute garden home. She's 83 now and is still in fairly good health, playing golf at least 3X a week. I retired from medical transcription last year after a 32 year career. I work part-time for an ophthalmologist now. I have 2 acres, two horses (1/4 horse/palominos, mother and daughter) and two cats. Take care.
