Diane & kids,
I worked with Bill at Osco on 53rd & Pulaski from the time that he started there until I left in the mid-90's. He was also the photographer at my wedding. He was always cheerful, supportive and encouraging, and he loved his family unconditionally. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

In my 17 years with the Water Reclamation District, Bill was a friend from the beginning. He ALWAYS asked about my family and was a pleasure to work with. A good man who loved his family and always had a kind word.

My condolences to the Lazouskas family. Bill was one of a kind. As a second cousin I've know Bill pretty much all our lives. Since I left the Chicago area 40 years ago I have only seen him a few times, but on those few times it was always a pleasure to enjoy his unique humor and viewpoint. He certainly stood out in a crowd in so many ways. His passing is a loss for so many.

I am truly speechless for one of the few times in my life (and those of you who know me realize the rarity of this situation). I have lost one of my mentors and a great friend, to boot. Thanks, Bill, for your unyielding support; I could not have gotten where I am at the District without your guidance. Say "hey" to "The Great One", Nina, Big Jerry, Frank L and the rest of the District gang up there. Thanks again for everything.

Dear Lazouskas family,
My older sister Jen and I played for Neris for many years. My family and I always enjoyed talking to Bill. He was a very funny man and the most down to earth person. He gave me the nickname "Chicken Legs" when I played at Neris. A few years later when I worked at the Water Rec one summer, a car stopped behind me and I heard someone scream "Hey Chicken Legs" and before I even turned around I knew exactly who it was. He will be greatly missed.

I've known Bill since the late 80s. We were involved in many projects and committees together and I learned so much from him. We would have lunch together at Henry's whenever we had the opportunity. We shared many similar interests which included amoung other things family, growing up on the southside of Chicago and sports. He is one of the few people I knew who could still speak some latin and he could quote lines from old movies with the best of them. I will really miss Bill, he was a great friend and workmate. Everytime my phone rings now, I am dissappointed that it is not Bill calling me to shoot the breeze. One thing I can say is he was very proud of his family and loved them dearly. Diane, Joy, Deanna and Andy you have my most sincere condolences for your loss.

I have known Bill since I first stepped through the doors of the district in 1984. He was always encouraging and always ready to help anyone who needed it at work. He was the guy who knew most of the answers about anything to do with the lab. (Very likely he knew all of the answers.) He was my boss for the last few years before he got his long-awaited promotion as assistant director of R & D. I was the supervisor of the night shift then. He would always stop by on his way home to see how we were doing on the shift and to see if we needed anything. (Except, of course, during volleyball season when he had to leave a little early some days to ref games.) I will miss his jokes and his stops by my office where we would talking about family, work and just about anything else.
To his family, my condolences on your loss. He was a wonderful boss and friend to me. I will miss him greatly.

Even though I never knew Bill personally, I will always remember him. He was my pharmacist since my childhood years at the 53rd and Pulaski Osco - I never got a chance to work with him on Saturdays. I have heard only good things about Bill and he will be greatly missed among us at Osco. May God be with his family during this difficult time.

Lazouskas Family,
I want to express my sadness for the loss of Bill. I played for Neris volleyball club for six years, and often thought of him as the driving force behind my volleyball career. If it weren't for Bill, I'm not sure I would be where I am today. I know that he has made a difference in not only my life, but the lives of so many young women who played for him. I will keep both Bill and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill, you were a tried and true friend to me throughout our careers at the Water Reclamation District, where you affectionately referred to me as "Captain Sewer." We spent many a day (and night) working side-by-side (along with other District professionals) in complex litigation protecting Chicago's water environment. You will always be remembered as a true warrior (in the best sense of the word).
I salute you, sir!

Our condolences to Bill's wife and family. I've known Bill for, it seems like forever, about 40 years working at the R&D lab for the MSDGC. I remember him best as always being upbeat and enthusiastic.

I will always remember the encouraging words and funny jokes he was always telling us in the lab at Stickney. Whenever I had a question or a complaint he would always respond professionally, either by email or in person. He would always have something funny to say afterwards. I'll miss you Bill! Please say hello to my mom and dad for me!
I also would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the Family at this time. May God keep and Bless you through these difficult times during this holiday season.

I am very saddened by the passing of Bill. I've know him since I was a kid. I grew up near the Osco where he worked at, thats where I met him, also worked with him at Doubek for about 2 years. He was a great, freindly, all around good guy. He was always smiling and making people laugh, he was quite the comedian. I loved being around him, I'm really going to miss him. My deepest condolences to his family and freinds. He will be missed dearly but he's in a better place with God our father.

Bill was unique in so many ways. I am glad I got to listen to his stories, jokes and playful banter for the past 4 years. He encouraged me throughout pharmacy school, and threw it in my face when I passed the Board exams on the first try (because I was sure I would fail, but he had told me all along I would pass). I will miss him dearly.
Peace and sympathy to all who love Bill,
Kristy

Bill is a great guy, and it tears me apart that I will not get to see his smiling face at the pharmacy when I come in on Saturday nights. I bet heaven is a funnier place now that he is there.
Love and sympathy to all who love Bill,

To the Lazouskas family, my condolences, your husband/dad was a good guy, who tried very hard. Him and I were partners at couple IHSA regional matches. Right now I see him with God doing their prematch conference. Peace
