I was stunned and deeply saddened by this news. Billy was my first roommate at St. Mary's. He was the suave guy, really cool type. I was not. I loved him. He was always kind. We shared many memories and I can recall them as if just yesterday. He was a good guy.
Even when it is time, the heart is never ready to let go of the one we love. God bless the family and I hope you find some solace in the love, friendship, and spirit that Bill brought to so many.

My heart and prayers go out to Janelle, the girls, Colleen, Terry and Mrs. Maureen Keegan and all of Bill's nieces and nephews. Bill had such a warm and welcoming smile. Cousin Billy:
A priest once said:
Where there is love, that is what makes the passing of a good friend so difficult
but is in that love that we take solace and comfort in all the fond memories we shared.
The best compliment ever from your mentor Whitey was you can be in my foxhole anytime...I know he felt that way and I can only second that strong espirit de corps. Thanks for all the good times together fighting the good fight in your early PR career and all the many kindnesses afforded to this Quirk family.
Now enjoy the fruits of all the goodness you brought into this world in your eternal life after your hard fought fight.

Keegan Family,
Very sorry and sad to hear of Billy's passing....our deepest condolences to all of the Keegans. Billy showed his strength of character as he courageously battled this terrible disease with his characteristic positive attitude, strong faith and physical and mental toughness. Always knew Billy as an upbeat, friendly, fun-loving guy to be with and as a creative and consummate marketing and PR professional.
As admirable as his professional life and many accomplishments, his most important and enduring legacy will be as a devoted and loving family man, and a caring and supportive husband, father, son and brother. May your fond memories and fun times provide you comfort now and forever. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was sad to hear of the passing of a wonderful friend. I had the pleasure of knowing Bill for many years. It started out living on Bristol Ave in Westchester and continued thru our college years. No words can comfort you at this time but may you, your daughters and the Keegan family know what a true gentleman Bill is. I am honored to have called him my friend.
