William Hardin Obituary

WILLIAM JOSEPH HARDIN died October 2, 2002. A 54-year resident of Houston, he was born December 28, 1924 in Mobile, Alabama. After his service in World War II and graduation from the University of Alabama, Bill moved to Houston to begin his accounting career with Haskins & Sells. He started his own accounting practice in 1962 and continued to work until his death. Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Egan Hardin; his five children, Mary Hardin Francis & husband, Glenn; Steve Hardin & wife, Edna; John Hardin & wife, Ann; Anne Hardin; Beth Nelson & husband, Larry. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; his three sisters, Florence Maslak, Anne Hall and Theresa Hardin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bill took great joy in his love for his children, their spouses and each of his grandchildren. He was thankful to be blessed with so many wonderful friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002 at Earthman Hunters Creek, 8303 Katy Fwy. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc.
