William Gorman Obituary

Gorman, Dr. William E. beloved husband of the late Margaret L. Gorman, loving father of Cheryl (Walter) Sublette and Brian (Cindy) Gorman, cherished grandfather of Suzanne, Stacey, Sherine, Erin and Shannon, dear brother of Elaine (William) Rosso and the late Deloris Bates, brother-in-law of Daniel Bates, Gladys Simonian, Raffe (Ferryl) Simonian, Judith (John) Wittmus, Martin Abezetian and the late Zabelle Abezetian, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. A former teacher at DePaul Academy and long time Professor at DePaul University. Dr. Gorman was President of the Professor Emeritus Society of DePaul University. World War II Veteran. Founder of the Illinois Association for Adult Development and Aging. Past President of the IIlinois Guidance and Personnel Association. He was a pioneer in the profession of counseling in Illinois. Funeral Monday, 9:30 a.m., from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., to St. Mary of the Woods for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
