Rest in peace Bill. Our days on the ballfield and our nights at LT were things that one will never forget. The nights spent with your parents were great and fun memories will be with me forever and always. Bucktown friends were the greatest. Vito DeFrancisco

Dear Bill and Ronnie
I have just recently found out about the passing of Bill. I was very shocked and surprised by this and also very saddend. My time spent at LT with your grandparents and your dad are memories that will last a life time. I do not have much of a contact with any of the old friends that we use to pal around with, and therefore this is why my prayers for you and your family come at such a late time. As time will heal the pain somewhat of a loved one, the memories will remain forever. May God bless you and all your loved ones.

RIP Uncle Bill, found a nice picture of you for everyone to enjoy.

I always enjoyed listening to Uncle Bill's stories at family gatherings. We will miss him dearly! The first time I met Uncle Bill was at the annual sisters christmas party. My husband Tom said "Uncle Bill, I'd like you to meet..." and Uncle Bill replied "excuse me dear...when are you going to get that hair cut"? As Tom's God-Father, He made known that he did not like the long hair!
With Love,

My condolences to Bill's family. I only had the opportunity to know Bill for the last few months but he always made sure to make our group feel at home at Lincoln Tavern. He had a huge personality, a warm heart and was a phenomenol cook. He will be missed.

"Uncle Bill" was a great guy, and will be dearly missed by all those that knew him. As a kid, he was the scariest guy I knew. Whether it was convincing me that my big head caused his Tavern floor damage OR trying to teach me how to properly wash the glasses in the bar sink, I was always sure to do as I was told.
Fast forward to me becoming an adult, and I was continually surprised at just how warm and gentle of a teddy bear he actually was. While he wasn't the loudest guy in the room, he definitely had a presence about him and I am thankful for some of the nice chats we had as "men".
For all of the drama and stress that can go with working in a family business, his love for his wife and kids is something I will always remember. I know how tough Sandy's passing was for him, so one of the silver linings to him moving on is his reunion with her.
RIP Uncle Bill, you were a great guy that I am thankful to have called my uncle. You leave behind a couple of great kids, a wonderful business, and a ton of memories.

Bill and Ronnie. Nancy and I are very saddened by the news of your Father's passing. he was a good guy and a friend of ours for many years as you know. I hope the next few days are easy on you both. It is difficult to lose your parents and even more so when one was as well liked as your Dad. I will always remember him as an avid waterfowl hunter and an extraordinary lover of dogs. Good luck to you both and I hope you continue to operate the business in the footsteps of your parents and grandparents. Ron Drews Stone Lake, Wisconsin.
