William Fink Obituary
William A Fink – 64 of Mount Vernon, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 after suffering a massive stroke. Bill (Will to some) was born in Battle Creek Michigan, the son of Judith Ann (Newburn) Fink and Albert Lee Fink. His is survived by his brother Richard A. Fink and His wife Deborah Dtkowsky of Morton Grove Illinois and his nephews and nieces: Keith, Elenna, Morgan, Samuel and Casey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Judith and Albert Fink; His Life Partner David Nicklas and his brother Michael.
Bill died a Hero choosing to be an organ doner when renewing his driver's License. His donation will save a minimum of 4 lives.
Bill was a fan of Rock Music, especially Heavy Metal and could be seen wearing one of his many Heavy Metal jackets around town. He loved going to Concert at the Granada theater and was known to drive to St. Louis, Terra Haute and Chicago to see a show.
There will not be a funeral however, a celebration of life will be held later. In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to The Stroke Foundation www.thestrokefoundation.org or to Mid America Transplant www.midamericatransplant.org

Will was a fantastic person. I met him working 3d shift Shipping. He was always holding the door open and in a grand gesture with his hands he'd bellow "Welcome to Walgreens ". His smile was infectious. I'll miss his greetings, his quirky additions to our tier exercise routine and his concert T-shirts and jacket. I loved his band patches on that jacket. The Will I know was friendly, kind and extroverted... he was a breath of fresh air in our evening work chaos. I'm going to miss this. My sincere condolences to his family.

I met William when I started at Walgreens then became good friends with him he was a kind and friendly man we play pool and basketball for three years straight every morning when we came into work I even went too a few concerts with him. My William be forever known

I worked with William on 3rds, he was always holding doors open for people, welcoming us to work, and helping if needed. I am very sorry for your family's loss, he was a great person

To my big brother - I will always admire your love of music and your lust for adventure. I will miss meeting you on your birthday weekend and going to a concert or Music Festival. Give Mike, Mom and Dave big hugs for me.
