William Fink Obituary

Fink, William

William A Fink – 64 of Mount Vernon, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 after suffering a massive stroke. Bill (Will to some) was born in Battle Creek Michigan, the son of Judith Ann (Newburn) Fink and Albert Lee Fink. His is survived by his brother Richard A. Fink and His wife Deborah Dtkowsky of Morton Grove Illinois and his nephews and nieces: Keith, Elenna, Morgan, Samuel and Casey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Judith and Albert Fink; His Life Partner David Nicklas and his brother Michael.

Bill died a Hero choosing to be an organ doner when renewing his driver's License. His donation will save a minimum of 4 lives.

Bill was a fan of Rock Music, especially Heavy Metal and could be seen wearing one of his many Heavy Metal jackets around town. He loved going to Concert at the Granada theater and was known to drive to St. Louis, Terra Haute and Chicago to see a show.

There will not be a funeral however, a celebration of life will be held later. In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to The Stroke Foundation www.thestrokefoundation.org or to Mid America Transplant www.midamericatransplant.org
