Dear Durks,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your father. I know how much you admired him.

Coach Durkin will be missed by so many of us who encountered the "Coach" during their athletic careers. Before meeting "Coach" his impressive reputation at Mt. Carmel preceded him. I was fortunate enough to have played at Loyola University while he was officiating. Even during serious competition his sense of humor and "fair play" always surfaced.
Years later I would see him at Ridge Country Club. He was a gentleman and a real man who was enjoyed by all. Never, had I ever heard a disparaging word about the "Coach". He will be missed and remembered always.

Dear Rosemary, Rose, Bill and Bob,
Please know of my deepest sympathy and prayerful support as you hand your dear husband and father back to the Lord. I regret that I will be unable to attend the wake and funeral as I will be out of town for my annual 8 day retreat. Please know that I will be united with you in prayer at the table of the Lord on Monday and will offer my mass for Bill's peace and rest that day. God bless, Brian Paulson, S.J.
