Please accept my deepest sympathies, I was deeply sadden to hear about the loss of Dr Deutsch.
I was a patient of Dr Deutsch for the past 47 years. Starting when I was five years old and with many surgeries preformed with sucess. If my parents had never met with Dr Deutsch, I would of most likely never been able to have the great gift of sight in my lifetime.
I feel fortunate that I was able to see him this past May for my last time.
Not only did we have a great patient relationship but became good friends through the years growing up.
I will never forget him in my heart.

Dear Tasha, Tom and family,
It was with surprise and sadness that I read of the memorial service planned at Rush for Bill. Marian and I did not know of his death until now. We would like to express our condolences and say "Bill was what a good physician should be - knowledgeable, kind and above all, empathic to his patients." Bill was all 3, in spades. We'll miss him.

Dearest Tasha,
I was shocked and quite saddened to hear of Bill's passing. The memory of my year in Evanston 33 years ago is indelibly marked by the kindness and friendship both you and Bill freely extended to me way back then.
Much love to you and your famiy,
Janis

Dr. Deutsch was both my doctor at RUSH, and my patient at RUSH. I enjoyed his lively sense of humor with respect to both capacities. I am very happy to have been able to have had the opportunity to know him.

Dr. Deutsch had been my aunt's eye doctor for at least 20 years and mine for around ten years. He will be missed so much. Just last month we were in to see him and we always had fun talking with him as he looked deeply into our eyes. God bless you, his family.

I have been a patient of Dr. William for 40 years. He saved my life when I was just 2 years old and I seen him every year since then. At one vist he suggested that I start seeing one of the other Dr.'s on staff. I did this a couple of times but never felt as comfortable as I did with him. So of course, I started making my appointments with him again and he never brought the subject up again. I will truly miss him. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Our deepest sympathy to the family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Bill Deutsch. Dr. Deutsch has been our opthalmologist for 35 years and we miss him already. It was always a joy to be in his presence. He was unfailingly sensitive and if we were down, he brought us up. If we were up, he made us shine. We will always remember him as a superb physician and an even better human being.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tom's for many years and only saw Dr. William passing by in the office. However, judging from Dr. Tom as a product, Dr. William must have been a wonderful father to have inspired such an accomplished son.......Daniel M. Brown

My mom and I have been patients of Dr. William for many years. Last July when I had my annual visit he commented it was our 29th year. My thoughts and prayers are with his beloved family.
