William K. Bruinius, age 90, Korean War Veteran, Sgt. U.S. Marine Corps. Beloved husband for 60 years to the late Ella Bruinius, nee Pleiter (2016). Loving father of Sandra (Jack) Mudde, Marcia (Tim) Kuiper, and William L. (Carrie) Bruinius. Cherished grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 17. Fond brother of Judy (late Bill) Meyer, LaVerne (John) Yff, Leonard (Pat) Bruinius and the late Pearl (Marvin) Vis. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bill was a life-long Evergreen Park resident. Owner of Bruinius Cement Construction. Member of Evergreen Park Lions Club for over 60 years and the Evergreen American Legion for many years. He was also a member of Cement Masons' Union Local #502 for 70 years. Visitation Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave., (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Memorials to Grace Community Christian Reformed Church, 10415 Kedvale Ave., Oak Lawn, IL 60453 preferred.
