Bland, Wilbur "Bill" Tate 82 years, born November 23, 1923, in Chicago. Served in the Army as a tank instructor at West Point Academy. He was employed at General Motors as a Tool and Die Machinist. He retired after 33 years. Mr. Bland was active in the Biela Senior Center of Crestwood, IL. Serving as President and volunteering his time with the seniors. He loved flying, boating, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Genieveve (nee Machart), his children, George (Laura), Gloria (James) Mathiasch and Daniel (Lilyan), his grandchildren, Jane, James Jr., Robert, Elisabeth, Daniel, Jeffery, Katheryn and Margaret and his great-grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon, Robert and Genevieve. Funeral Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th St., Crestwood. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South. Visitation Friday, 2 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Glenwood School for Boys, 18700 S.
