It´s hard to believe, 20 years ago, you left to open a new bar in the sky. We all miss you "Moe". Save us all a stool.

I lived around the corner from Wayne on Union Av. He was one of my earliest buddies even before I started Kindergarten. We walked to and from Walsh School together. He taught to play baseball in his back yard, watched Howdy Doody and Flash Gordon at his house. His family was one of the first in the neighborhood to get television. We moved and I lost track of him after Chicago Teachers College. I’m extremely sad I didn’t know about his Taverns on Archer Av. passed them many times. All my sympathies go out to Todd and Karen and to the rest of his family. I can see by these messages all will miss him .

Wayne was my friend and teammate on the New York Knicks. Cazzie Russell gave BIG MOE another nickname, "Sweet Moe from Cicero". I will remember him for his tenacious play both on and off the court, and his outside shooting skills. I was lucky to have visited with him a year ago. We will all miss "Sweet Moe" . Condolences to his friends and family.

Wayne Molis gave me my first unfiltered cigarette, taught me how to shoot bow and arrow, and was a great
companion bow fishing for monster carp at Lake Lawn lodge when I was a kid. What a character! Wayne,
you were the best, and I will always remember you and Carol fondly. My deepest condolences to Brian,
Derek, and Jennifer, three great kids from a great family. Please keep in touch.

Oh, all you Molis family members -- I am so sad to hear of your loss. When I think of Wayne, I think of my childhood memories of Lake Lawn, of seeing him get married and taking pictures with my Brownie camera, of my pride that I new a New York Nick, of him telling my future husband "He better take care of me" (a big threat from that big guy!). Take comfort in all the new beginnings your family has right now -- weddings, births, graduations. Raise a toast and share a laugh for a man who was a tall drink with a big heart.

Time was when "Big Moe" was just "Moe." The old 50s Canalport & Union crowd gets smaller. I never could shoot over him in the school yard. Nothing but fond, never-ending memories from our boyhood days. See ya again some day, big guy.

Mr. Molis was always very generous and hospitable to me when I visited Chicago - he opened up his home to make me feel welcome. He made me laugh and I loved to be in his company.

So sorry about your loss. I remember Wayne from the old Chicago Teachers College when we were students. Later I ran into him when he was a substitute teacher in the 4th grade at Nightingale School. It was humerous how he towered over the little 9 year olds. Once again I am very sorry.

Words cannot express our sadness in the loss of such a great person. Wayne we will miss your wit and humor and the neighborhood will not be the same without you. Our thoughts and prayers are with your children and family and now that you and Carol will be watching over them and how proud you must be of all of them. You did a great job with them and God must need you to carry on His plan. God Bless You and your family. "One more and I gotta go" as Dan would say. You will truly be missed.

I will always remember Wayne for his great sense of humor. Every time we share a laugh with friends or family, a part of Wayne comes alive in all of us. May his family find some small comfort in this. I was honored to have known him.
