Gipson, Sr., Warren DeForest

The family announces the passing of Warren Gipson, Sr. who made his transition Saturday November 26, 2022 at the age of 83. Warren was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 15, 1939 to John Gipson and Aretha Loveless who both preceded him in death along with Brothers: John Jr., Bruce, Ronald, Randy and Darryl. He attended Forestville Elementary School and Dunbar High School. Prior to departing for the military, Warren was blessed to have a son Reginald Childs. Warren joined the United States Army in 1958 and served as a Medical Specialist until his honorary discharge in 1961. Warren worked for the Chicago Transit Authority as a Bus Operator while attending college. Warren met and fell in love with Elaine Bell. They married in July 1962 and from this union were two sons, Warren II and DeNarrard. Warren and Elaine were married for 42 years when Elaine gained her heavenly wings in 2008. He continued his eduation at Kennedy-King College and received both his Bachelor's and Master's in Accounting from Roosevelt University, Chicago. He worked for the Dawson Skill Institute and taught Accounting at City Colleges of Chicago. He established the Warren Gipson & Associates Income Tax office in 1983 and opearated this business for nearly 40 years. Warren is survived by loving family members including his three sons, Reginald, Warren II and DeNarrard. Brothers: Jeffrey, Kevin and Tyrone; Sisters: Janice, Jackie, Carol and Judy. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members, masonic family and friends.
