I met Mr.Best at morning mass at St. Pascal and anytime I saw him he asked about my mother who suffers from mental illness. He truly was an angel on earth and I was blessed to know him. May he rest in peace.

Pastor Best grew up with my Dad, was a friend to our family for many years, and we were blessed to have him perform our wedding ceremony. He has a special place in many people's lives, and will be remembered and missed by all those who knew him.

One of the kindest, gentlest people I've ever known, a wonderful leader that cared deeply for all of his church family, we will miss you terribly.

We have lost a great friend. Four generations of my family had the pleasure of knowing Warren, our ties going back as far as 1942, with my own personal acknowledgment of Warren as being "the guy who operated the puppets" on the television program called Uncle Mistletoe out of Chicago when he was only 17 years old. Friend, neighbor, and fellow boater during the summer months in Wauconda, he will definitely be missed by many.

Pastor Best was my husband's lifelong pastor until we married and moved away. Norwood Park was the first church I ever joined on my own, and was the setting for a wonderful adolescence and growth in faith. I credit him with my love of liturgy. He performed our wedding ceremony, and was a very important figure in our lives and the lives of our family members (especially my mother-in-law, Eleanor Tetour).

Pastor Best baptized me in 1954, and confirmed me in 1968. He provided a wonderful Luther League setting for me to grow in, along with some lifelong friends. I will never see a black Cadillac with fins and not think of him and smile. Bless you for all you did for a wonderful community.
