Wanda Szymanski Obituary

Szymanski, Wanda R. Wanda R. Szymanski, 85, of Harvey, entered into eternal life on January 20th. Wanda was a retired mail room supervisor for Whiting Corporation, and honored member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans Chapter 39 Women's Auxiliary, Polish National Alliance Lodge 2003, St. John the Baptist Church Altar Guild and Golden Agers Societies. Survived by her son Thomas (Susie) Szymanski, grandsons Thomas J. (Monica), Todd F. (Heather), Timothy M., great-grandchildren Thomas W. and Ashley C., sister Lillian (Steve) Otrosa, many nieces and nephews, preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank A. Szymanski. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 2 to 9 p.m., at The Olen Mortuary of Harvey, 708-331-0654. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, at 10 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church of Harvey. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.

To the Family of Wanda; We are sorry to hear of your loss.Wanda and I, (Bob) both worked at Whiting for many years. She was in the mail room and I was in Whiting/Swenson. She always had a big smile and was so good natured. She will be missed.

I'm very sorry to hear of Wanda's passing. She was good friends with my grandmother, Bernice Kowalski, who passed a short time ago. I remember seeing Wanda at the church fest and BINGO nights when I was young
